According to wikipedia, the definition of cloud computing is the use of computer technology and internet-based development. Meanwhile, the binus.ac.id article itself explains cloud computing is a technology that makes the internet the center of data management and applications where (users) are given access rights.
So, in my own opinion, here the definition or definition of cloud computing is the use of computer performance processes such as RAM, CPU, STORAGE, SOFWARE and others that still cover computer technology using the internet, where the internet becomes the main source or center as a place for data processing.
Some cloud computing services:
- IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service)
- Infrastructure as a Service is a cloud computing service that provides infrastructure such as RAM, CPU, STORAGE, BANDWITH and other configurations.
- Example: AWS (Amazon Web Service) and Microsoft Azure.
- PaaS (Platform as a Service)
Platform as a Service usually includes an operating system, database, web server and framework in order to run the application that has been created.
Example: Heroku or Google app engine.
- SaaS (Software as a Service)
Software as a Service cloud computing service where we can directly use it.
Example : GMAIL, YAHOO, GOOGLE DOC.
