NAT configuration is usually used by companies to minimize the cost of purchasing IP Public and make it easier to connect to the internet from many computers in a network. For network engineers, the knowledge to perform NAT configuration is very necessary.
The topology we use will be as above where the IP Gateway at NAT will be 172.16.100.2, keep in mind for the IP Gateway NAT because we will use it for routing.
Previously, make sure you have made settings on the Virtual Network Adapter found in VMware, as below.
Then set NAT with IP 172.16.100.2 according to the instructions above and the image below.
After that, make settings on the Mikrotik vmware by changing the network adapter port with NAT, and the Local port.
If it is appropriate, we can launch the proxy router and log in using winbox, if so, you can set the name of each existing ethernet and here to distinguish which one is local and NAT, we will change the name of each ethernet according to the IP port that we set in the previous proxy.
Follow the command in the image below and make sure the name matches the port we are using.
If so, continue to routing the gateway on IP NAT' 172.16.100.2, as below.
Make sure that reachable NAT appears when routing is complete.
After it has been done, we can enter the IP on each host that we have created in the previous topology.
On windows server 2008
On Ubuntu.
When finished, we will configure NAT routing on the proxy so that it can connect to the outside or have its own internet connection.
