Some financial information related to Dublin Airport staff has been compromised by a cyber-attack against service provider company Aon that also affected various other companies, the salaries and benefits of nearly 2,000 staff members of Daa, which operates Dublin Airport have been compromised by a recent cyber-attack against a third-party application used by professional service provider Aon. Daa was one of many global companies affected last month by an attack on MOVEit file transfer software, used by Aon. It said it had notified the Data Protection Commissioner and offered support to affected employees.

Aon was contracted by daa to compile and print award reports for some of its employees. Other victims of this cyber-attack include US government agencies, the UK telecoms regulator, and energy major Shell, all of which were affected by security flaws in Progress Software's MOVEit product discovered in May.
